A Guide to 2017’s Broadcast TV Renewals and Cancellations

Here's which shows will—and won't—make it to next season
The broadcast upfronts are now less than a week away, which means that those networks are approaching the finish line when it comes to setting next season’s lineups, and are making final decisions about which of their current series will live to see another year, and which have reached the end of the line.
While CBS and The CW have already announced most of their renewals, their rivals have held back on many of their decisions, aside from renewing their biggest hits (This Is Us scored a two-year pickup in January) and quickly canceling their worst-performing shows (farewell, Time After Time).
Here’s what we know now about the fate of the broadcast shows that aired during the September-to-May broadcast season. We’ll update this list throughout the next week as final verdicts are made ahead of each network’s upfront presentation, so keep checking back for the most up-to-date information. While several canceled series will desperately search for new linear or digital homes—hoping to follow the lead of Nashville, which jumped from ABC to CMT a year ago—almost all of them will be gone for good.
